Our Professional Development courses are available as full-day training sessions or as part of a longer-term work group.
Each course emphasises collaboration and making an impact at both departmental and school levels, promoting knowledge sharing around AI tools and best practices.
We ensure that teachers understand the key principles of AI and can start to engage with these tools on their own terms.
To support this and encourage knowledge sharing, we invite participants to create their own videos using our PowerPoint templates. These will be published and promoted on our social media channels, with full credit given to the teachers and their schools.
When working with teachers, we’ve encountered many concerns around AI. Aside from the understandable ethical issues that teachers are aware of, a major worry is that AI tools might replace their expertise. At FutureGenio, our experience with AI helps us explain why this will never happen.
All AI systems have flaws and cannot replace the expertise, empathy, or creativity of teachers. This session highlights these flaws and shows why AI will never be a substitute for them.
AI isn’t clever. It's useful. In this session, we demonstrate exactly why that’s the case.
One of the primary reasons teachers are hesitant to engage with common AI tools like ChatGPT is that they often find these tools frustrating to use. The results are frequently generic, poorly tailored, and prone to hallucinations, which diminishes their effectiveness.
Our easy-to-remember 'define, refine, squeeze' workflow provides a crystal-clear, highly efficient method for creating accurate teaching resources, while also enabling educators to use AI tools in other productive ways.
By breaking the process down into these three focused steps, we guide teachers through prompt engineering, perfecting the AI's output, and then applying these techniques to a range of topics and subjects with minimal effort, quickly bringing them up to speed
There are many hallmarks of AI-generated work, and as teachers, you're likely to be familiar with some. However, there are also plenty you may not know but can quickly learn to spot.
In this session, we’ll provide comprehensive guidance on identifying AI-generated content and suggest activities to help your students recognise these traits as well.
We can also run these activities directly with your students, using engaging, proven methods to teach them how to spot the hallmarks of AI-generated work, whether in text form or the more modern forms of audio and video deepfakes.
